Von Ian McDonald wird einer neuer Roman Luna - New Moon für den September angekündigt.

Der Roman spielt auf dem Mond und es geht um die Intrigen und Kämpfe fünf verfeindeter Firmen-Dynastien. Nach McDonalds eigenen Worten, eine Art Dallas auf dem Mond: Game of Domes nennt er es. 
Das ist nur deshalb nicht so bescheuert, wie es sich anhört, weil McDonald derjenige ist, der das schreibt.
Erscheint ebenfalls bei Tor Books. Mal sehen, ob das Buch irgendwann den Weg nach Deutschland findet.

You can be married to three different people at the same time with three different contracts; they don†™t have to live with you. Every part of life is negotiated. There†™s also a ticking clock: if you†™re on the moon for more than two years, your bone structure and musculature will degenerate to the point to where it†™s not safe to go back to Earth again, so everyone who goes there to work has to decide, †˜Do I stay or do I go?†™ And there†™s corporate intrigue, with a family matriarch getting old but not ready to pass, because there will be a power vacuum. There are battling brothers, basically the Thor/Loki relationship, with the charismatic older brother and the clever younger one. It†™s a lot of fun to do. I watched the hell out of The Godfather several times, parts one and two. It†™s the same structure, really. There†™s been a first look at the world of Luna already: Jonathan published a story †˜The Fifth Dragon†™ in his Reach for Infinity anthology, which is part of this world.†

Wobei ich mir bei Anathem meine notorische Angewohnheit des schnellen Lesens abgewöhnen musste, das klappt bei diesem Buch nicht, es beinhaltet immer wieder Abschnitte, die man genauest durchdenken muss.
